COVID Update: Mask Policy Reinstated
In accordance with CDC recommendations based on new evidence on the Delta variant, Asheville Music School is requiring masks in public areas around the school for all teachers, students, staff, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
Harmony Chosen for GRAMMY Camp
Here’s a great example of why we do what we do. Asheville Music School student Harmony Redford has been chosen as one of 81 students across the country for this year’s GRAMMY Camp. Congratulations! What a great opportunity.
Summer Camps are Back in Action
Summer is officially here, and that brings our summer music camps! Enrollment is still open for a few of our music camps, including Fiddle Camp (July 12-16) and Harry Potter-themed Suzuki Strings Camp (July 26-30), led by Paul Stroebel and Holley Ross.
Montford Garden Tour – June 5
We are thrilled to be part of the festivities at the Montford Garden Tour on Saturday June 5, 10am-5pm. It’s the community’s first garden tour in 17 years. Local musicians will be featured at 12 different gardens, including AMS teachers Kylie Irvin and Mar, as well as our Fiddle Squad, made up of string students led by Paul Stroebel and Holley Ross.
Spring Recitals 2021
AMS Student Recitals – Sunday, May 16
In compliance with Executive Order 204, we are staying as safe as possible and limited our capacity to 50% for recitals. We will only have a maximum of 10 students on each recital. As of now, we are planning on hosting our Spring Recitals in the Loft at Asheville Music School, but this could change to outdoors. We may announce a few virtual recitals if the need arises.

Asheville Music School is committed to keeping its students, teachers, and staff as safe as possible. We are remaining on the safe side of Executive Order 204 and only increasing to 50% capacity, and still requiring masks in public areas.
Italian Wine Tasting Fundraiser

New AMS Teacher Jenny Bradley
Jenny’s life-long involvement in music ranges from gospel singing in church as a child to 15 years of classical piano study which led her to earning a degree in music education from Lander University with an emphasis in piano and choral music. At the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, she helped develop the group piano course for kids and created a successful method of teaching rhythm, ©Rhythm Shapes.
Seeking Piano Teacher
Asheville Music School is hiring a piano teacher, specifically one that has training and experience with early childhood education, and is willing to teach in-person lessons. Experience in ensemble leading, with knowledge of multiple instruments, a plus. Music degree required.
