Essay Contest

October 13, 2024 by ryanreardon

How Has Music Changed My Life?

The study of music means different things to every student. For some people it is a creative outlet that they do for pure enjoyment. For others, it can be a life-changing experience. Whether you play for fun, or if music is a career you plan to pursue, or even if you aren’t sure where it will take you, we want to hear how music has changed and affected your life.

ELIGIBILITY

The essay contest is open to AMS students of all ages. Only 1 essay per student will be accepted. Word count: 500-1000 words.

JUDGING

Essays will be judged on their ability to answer the topic question in an articulate, clear, and organized manner. Creativity helps, too. Judge’s panel will be made up of AMS board members.

All essays are due by November 8, 2024.
Email essays to Ryan Reardon: ryan@ashevillemusicschool.org

Winners will be announced on November 22.
