There will be an Open House for the Triple Threat – Total Theatre Experience Thursday, October 14 from 4-5 so potential students will have a chance to meet the instructors and learn a bit more about the class. The open house will be held at the Asheville Music School West. Due to this the start date has been pushed back.
Here’s a bit more information on the instructors for this class:
Lisa Gerber has been involved in theater for the last twenty years. With a degree in Musical Theater from Arizona State University and an Elementary Ed degree from Florida Atlantic University, she has had the pleasure of being able to be both a performer and an educator of the arts. Lisa started a children’s theater camp called Kids Kabaret in Florida ten years ago and continues to direct two shows each summer. Since moving to Asheville four years ago she has performed at the Diana Wortham, taught musical theater for the Asheville Arts Center and is currently teaching Music Together at the Asheville Music School.
Paul Gerber – Has been performing in professional theater for the last 28 years and even though he has left performing he still keeps up with his teachings and enjoys sharing them with others. Some of his past shows include: Rent, Titanic: A new Musical, Oliver, Twelve Angry Men and The Who’s Tommy. He and his wife Lisa have been running a Musical Theater Camp in South Florida for the past 7 years.
