Teachers at AMS set their own tuition rates and schedules. Tuition is paid directly to your teacher. Teachers’ tuition rates are published on their bio pages and currently range from $25-$30 per 30-minute lesson, which typically equals $100 to $120 monthly tuition.
Tuition is paid in advance and is due on the last week, or last lesson, of each month for the following month. Teachers must collect your payment in advance as they must reserve your time slot and pay for their studio space in advance. Your instructor is not obligated to hold studio space for you if you have not paid in advance.
Teachers also set their own policies regarding 5-week months, vacations, and missed lessons and make-up lessons. Your teacher will explain his or her policies at the first lesson.
When you enroll at AMS, your family pays a $65 annual membership fee directly to Asheville Music School. This is an annual fee that covers all students in your immediate family. You can pay monthly or annually.
Communications regarding scheduling, tuition payments or missed lessons should be done directly with your teacher. In the case of inclement weather, please check with your teacher! AMS does not follow the public school calendar regarding inclement weather closings.
