At Asheville Music School we offer violin and viola lessons in a variety of styles. And yes, the violin and the fiddle are the same instrument (sometimes fiddlers like to have a flatter bridge, but that’s just a personal preference). The main difference is the style of playing.
Choose classical, Suzuki method, O’Connor method, jazz, or just about any kind of folk style (Old Time, Bluegrass, Scotch-Irish, Swing, Blues/Rags, Klezmer or Cajun) and we have a teacher for you.
