Gypsy Jazz Workshop Returns

March 27, 2017 by ryanreardon

Back by popular demand! Once again, local musicians Steve Karla and Phil Alley of the group Gypsy Guitars will be leading a Gypsy Jazz workshop at Asheville Music School. This class will build on some of the fundamentals touched on in the first class regarding rhythm and lead playing in the Gypsy Jazz style. Particular focus will be centered on learning melodies and improvising with them, chord structure and voice leading, as well as some of the more nuanced gypsy guitar tricks and licks that really give the style it’s character. Come join us, and celebrate this spring with a little swing in your step!

Gypsy Jazz Workshop 102
Fri. April 28
6:30pm-8:30pm
