What is Barnaroo, and how is AMS involved?
Barnaroo is a festival founded by youth musicians to serve youth musicians. Because of this, Barnaroo looked long and hard for a nonprofit that truly fits the purpose of the festival. Asheville Music School agreed to come on board in 2014, and Barnaroo was happy to move into the future indefinitely to benefit of Asheville Music School. When you purchase your ticket, you can optionally donate to AMS. A portion of festival sales go back to the school, and 100% of our onsite silent auction goes to benefit Asheville Music School programs.

Will AMS students perform at Barnaroo?
Most definitely. The AMS Rock Band will actually kick off the festival at 10:30am on Saturday October 1! Sunday will also include student performance opportunities. We hope you will come out and support not just youth music, but all ages of music lovers!
