AMS Sound Education Outreach Program Mission:
Bringing music students together to connect with peers, with professional artists, and with the community as a whole.
Asheville Music School will be hosting a virtual benefit for our partners at Mountain Care
We are putting together a virtual performance livestreamed on our social media platforms to help raise money for a program that provides an essential service to the community.
AMS students and faculty perform for Henderson Adult Day program through Mountain Care.
We need participants to send a video to programs@
ashevillemusicschool.org of themselves performing a song. The song can be an instrumental, sung, or both! If you’re singing, we encourage participants to choose a song that has a positive message.
October 1st at 7pm
Livestreaming on our AMS social media. A donate button or link will be visible during the show.
The Henderson Adult day program has to move to a new location during a pandemic. They need financial support from the community. We have provided musicians to entertain the patients at the Buncombe County Adult Day in the past and want to help a program that does a vital role in the WNC! If you want to know more about what an adult day center does, you can find out here.
If you’re interested, please submit a video to
Kylie Irvin: programs@
by September 24th.
Please say your name, the name of your song, and a short statement thanking Mountain Care for all the important work they do in the community and encouraging people to donate.
- Remember this performance isn’t about you. You are devoting your time to others in need.
- Record yourself with the best quality audio equipment you have so we can hear your beautiful music clearly.
- Try to be in a quiet area with a simple background (we want the focus to be on you and your music, not your messy room! 🙂
- Get your performance as good as you can but don’t obsess over small mistakes- just get in the habit of moving forward!
- Have FUN!!
Thank you for participating! Though we can’t see all of you in person, we miss you! We hope you find this to be an enjoyable way to use your skills to help others in this uncertain time.
